Our goals

MTG United for Peace

To help children create a better future

MTG United for Peace wants to build bridges between children of different nationalities, ethnic origins, religions and cultures. It’s our goal to help them understand peace, respect, tolerance and cultural diversity.

We want to help young people from all walks of life to have a truly positive feeling about themselves, about other people and the world around them.

We want each and every one of the youngsters to feel that they can make a difference: create and experience exciting things, make great friendships and live in peace, respect and tolerance with one another.

Why Football and the Nobel Peace Prize are the way forward

MTG United for Peace has got two straightforward means of achieving these goals: with the help of football and education.

We use football because it is the perfect tool in how to work together in a peaceful manner; to share a set of rules, solve conflicts on the pitch as well as having a great time and make new friends. No matter where you’re from or who you are, in football it’s all about spirit, passion and being a team player. Nothing else matters.

The football tournaments take place locally and each winning team will go on to represent their country at MTG United for Peace Cup Final, held in Oslo.

The education that we provide is conducted by the peace experts at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway. The children will learn about cultural understanding, integration and conflict resolution at the interactive “School of Tolerance”. The education takes place during the annual announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, which provides valuable food for thought.
