When MTG held its annual Capital Markets Day at the Emirates Stadium in North London on 26 May,  MTG United for Peace was also there. Seven of our peace ambassadors - former football pros supporting our cause - were also at the venue to play football and to talk about our work: Patrik Andersson (Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona), Anders Limpar (Arsenal, Everton), Antonio Veloso (Benfica), Stefan Schwarz (Benfica, Arsenal), Jimmy Carter (Liverpool, Arsenal), Erland Johnsen (Bayern Munich, Chelsea) and Jan Åge Fjoertoft (Middlesbrough, Sheffield United).
We also held an auction on the day, in order to raise money to benefit children. Amongst the items we put under the hammer were:
•    Arsenal match jersey from 2010-2011 signed by the Arsenal first team
•    Danish national team jersey from their match against Norway signed by all of the Danish players
•    Benfica match jersey signed by the Portuguese legend Eusebio
•    Football from Arsenal signed by all of Arsenal’s first team
•    Champions League kickball signed by Michel Platini, one of the greatest playmakers ever
•    Limited edition leather football signed by Michel Platini
•    Champions League Final 2011 ball signed by Platini and great English striker Gary Lineker
In total we managed to raise £2310 that will go towards our work with spreading the message of peace, respect and cultural understanding among children.
