A mission well accomplished

What a great time we had in Oslo during the finals of the MTG United for Peace Cup 2011! I found it hard to believe that it could be better than last year, but this year really was truly amazing. Everything ran smoother; we had learnt from last year and used our experience to make this event even more fun and memorable for the children.
Amongst all the great things we experienced together during the cup finals I think I enjoyed the mixed matches the most. It’s absolutely great to see children from different backgrounds and countries, speaking different languages all come together and communicate via football when they play. That really shows that football is a universal language.

Together we stand united against evil
As you might know, or have guessed: I am Norwegian; I live in Oslo with the ones I love. I have lived and worked as a professional football player in many countries, but Norway is the place I call home. It’s a country to be proud of, a small, peaceful and protected place on planet Earth.

Something to remember – for life

Something to remember - for life

Our tournament is now well under way and the arrangement is even better than last year. Which isn’t that strange, I suppose, since last year was our first.  We were rookies then - but we’ve got references now. The key is that we’re taking our concept to the next step.

Football makes people talk

I know what you think: "Aha, the chairman of MTG United for Peace is a former football pro. Oh, and quite a few other people involved seems to be keen on football as well. I get it: that's why they've chosen football for their charity!" I see where you're coming from, but that's not the case!
