A Charity For Children
MTG United for Peace gives children the chance to meet and make friends through football.
Viasat Hungary organised its round of the MTG United for Peace tournaments on 10 September. The event was held in a stadium in Budapest, where seven teams attended from around the country. The teams came from economically deprived regions and all the players were from families suffering from poverty.
The tournament was opened by Viktor Kassai, the well-known football referee, who adjudicated one of the semi-finals in the recent World Cup in South Africa. Despite the heavy rains, players decided to begin the game outside, but the weather got worse so the finals were played in the gym. At the end of the day, team of Kunhegyes won the trophy and the opportunity to play in Oslo in October.
