MTG United for Peace Cup

Our star Peace Embassadors light the way for new generations

MTG United for Peace arranges local youth football tournaments for 12-14 year old children from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Africa and the UK. The aim of each local tournament, where at least six teams take part, is to create a forum for a range of local children to learn about the principles of peace. A lot of the children taking part come from less fortunate backgrounds. Each match can be turned into a celebration, full of excitement and an excellent opportunity to get together and learn from one another.

The winning teams will be invited to represent their countries in the MTG United for Peace Cup final, which will be held in the Norwegian capital of Oslo in October each year, coinciding with the announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. We hope that the children will have fun and learn important life skills, when they play football, make friends in between matches, as well as when they are educated and partcipate in discussions at the Nobel Peace Center. The education through the interactive “School of Tolerance” helps to further the cause of cultural understanding and integration.
